Quick help

Start here if you are setting up a game

This page covers room setup, board setup, camera tips, and the quickest things to check when something feels off.

Board setup

Check the standard board height and oche distance before you troubleshoot the app.

Camera setup

Stable mount, full board in frame, and even light usually matter more than anything else.

Fallback rule

If something feels off, refresh first and fall back to normal scoring flow.

Getting started

Room setup basics

The quickest answers for starting games and getting everyone into the same room.

Do I need an account to create or join a room?

No. Basic room creation and joining can be done without a full account.

Signing in unlocks profile-based features like friends, saved identity, daily checkout progress, and some gated beta or premium features.

What is the fastest way to get a match running?

Enter your name on the home page, create a room, then share the room link or room ID with the other player.

If you are on a phone, compact mobile mode is usually the quickest scoring view once the match starts.

Can we play from one device, or do we both need our own?

One scorer device is enough for a normal game if one person is entering the scores.

A second device is optional and can be useful for controller mode, camera, or viewing while someone else keeps score.

What devices work best?

A recent phone, tablet, or desktop browser should work for normal scoring.

For camera-heavy features, a stable rear phone camera with good light usually gives the best results.

Camera and board

Setup questions

Answers for board distance, camera placement, and permissions.

What board height and oche distance should I use?

For a standard steel-tip setup, the bull is normally 1.73 m from the floor and the throw line is 2.37 m horizontally from the board face.

If you play under specific league or venue rules, use those if they differ from your normal home setup.

What gives the best camera setup?

Keep the phone stable, keep the whole board visible, and avoid clipping the outer edge of the board.

Even lighting helps a lot. Try to reduce harsh shadows, glare, and people stepping in front of the board.

Why is camera or voice locked for my account?

Turn Cam and Voice depend on account status, permissions, browser support, and the adult camera policy flow for those features.

If a feature looks locked, first check that you are signed in on the correct account and that the browser has camera and microphone permission.

Troubleshooting

If something still looks wrong

A few common setup problems and the fastest next steps.

Why can my phone look different from desktop responsive mode?

A real phone can behave differently from browser emulation because of device viewport rules, browser chrome, font scaling, and install mode differences.

If a layout looks wrong, hard refresh first. If it still looks off, send the device model, browser, and a screenshot.

What if live stats or match info looks stuck or missing?

Refresh the room first and let the page reconnect.

If it keeps happening, include the room ID, device, browser, and a screenshot so the issue can be matched against logs.

What should I send in a setup bug report?

The most useful report includes the device, browser, room ID if relevant, and a screenshot or short screen recording.

If the issue is camera-related, also mention whether you were using the front or rear camera and whether the app was installed or just opened in the browser.

Still stuck?

If the FAQ does not cover your issue, send a support message with your device, browser, room ID, and a screenshot or short recording. That is usually enough to reproduce a setup problem quickly.
